The Ford Mondeo ranked an eventual 84th out of 150 cars in our 2014 Driver Power Customer Satisfaction survey, dropping 28 places. Owners stated that running costs are high, and it also scored low
I took my car to Ford at Midland for a service. It came back with a transmission fault. I spent several hundred dollars trying to get the problem diagnosed, not solveddiagnosed. Ford Midland basically said buy a new car. The Ford Mondeo is not reliable. I had a 2 litre Torq diesel. The car was about 7 years old and perfectly maintained.

The same basic engines are used in Transist and X-Types and cover above average mileages so
2013 Mondeo in bright silver, top of the range model - great looking and economical car in this spec. Engine is fast and does a regular 50 miles per gallon or more. Handles very nicely as well. Love driving this car more than I thought I would. Seats are amazingly comfortable. Spacious interior.
The Mondeo makes a strong case for itself out on the road because the ride quality on almost every version is comfortable, while all but the least powerful engines offer a good slug of low-down
Reliability Survey but Ford as a brand came a middling joint 17th out of the 32 manufacturers featured. That's lower than BMW and Toyota, but higher than Audi and Mercedes. That's lower than BMW
Vag products out completely! Octavia 1.9 tdi company car catastrophic engine failure at 2.5 yrs/63k miles, colleagues golf with same engine same failure at 3.5 years/ 55k.
My third Mondeo. The new 1.5 petrol engine feels just as powerful as the old 2 litre, with noticeably better economy. The car is quiet and comfortable, the ride is good, but the steering lacks
The Ford Mondeo used to be one of the best-selling cars in Britain, but it's seen its sales decline in recent times as large cars have fallen out of favour. Can the latest fourth-generation Mondeo hatchback, launched in 2014, reverse this trend? Read our full road test review to find out.
